"Our experience with State Farm was a total nightmare after we lost our house when a large tree fell on it. I'd recommend staying away from these people. We had to deal with delays, repair estimates with mistakes (benefiting them of course), application of sub limits that should not be applied according to their own policy, and so on. We wasted around three years of our lives fighting them to receive part of the policy that we purchased.

We were Vince's good customers for over a decade, with six insurance policies with him at one point. It meant nothing. Don't get fooled by the "friendly" service from the sales team and the flashy Super Bowl ads. State Farm is an absolutely terrible insurance company, in my opinion and experience. Just look up all the lawsuits against them. And many additional cases are settled out of court. I wish I listened to people who had the unfortunate experience to go through a major claim with their insurer before following a recommendation."
